It feels like the exterior hatch handle is stuck, as there is no movement in or out. I removed the interior inspection panel & can open the hatch that way. Open the tailgate manually and leave it open, take both the cables OFF the battery and hold them together (when the cables are OFF the battery) re install the cables on battery and wait a minute. Close the tailgate manually. Cycle the car to key on engine off, wait about 30 seconds then key off.
